This week has been a lot of fun but also really odd. Let me explain…
I’ve done a ton of fun things like meet up with Jenica for an impromptu dinner, ran my first 5k in FOREVER with some Sweat Pink friends (more on this later) and had some going away parties and happy hours with work friends. It’s all been a little surreal though since the going away parties and happy hours have been for me. I know shocker…
Was it just me or did this week seem to go on FOREVER, even though it was a short week? Sheesh. Well at least we’ve made it to Friday and now it’s time to enjoy the weekend! The weather here has been really nice (yesterday I heard it was in the 80’s), so I’ve got my fingers crossed that the nice weather will stick around for the weekend so I can try to get a little Vitamin D going on and not look so scarily pale when wearing anything besides pants!
Is it just me, or did it seem like it took FOREVER to make it to Friday this week? But seriously… it was like an eternity. Now that Friday is finally here, I think this pretty much sums up my feelings on going to work this morning. Tell me I’m not alone in this…
It’s finally Friday! PHEW! We’ve made it! This has honestly been the longest week ever so I’m happy that the weekend is finally here. I’m excited to spend some time with my friends and family and hopefully the weather cooperates so I can get out and enjoy the sun a little too! Hopefully it’s nice where you are so you can spend some time outside too!
Happy Friday!!! I know I keep talking about this, but I feel like today is a noteworthy worthy day worth talking about for a moment, so bare with me and I promise we’ll get into my 5 Things Friday post in just a minute. Today is my last day of work at a company I’ve worked at for almost three years and in an industry I’ve worked in since before I graduated from college (which was a LONG time ago!). On Monday, I will start in a completely different industry than I have ever worked in to start a job I’m qualified for, but have never done before. Yikes. Continue reading →
Man what a whirlwind of a week it has been. Only one more week left until my last official day of work at my current job. EEEEEkkkkk! If only Christmas came this fast when I was a child! Anywhoo… I’ve spent a ton of time researching different apartment communities this week to prepare for a weekend jam packed with apartment tours starting at 9am on Saturday morning and going through pretty much the entire weekend. Who knew moving could be such hard work! Not this Chiquita, that’s for sure!
But let’s take a break from moving chat and get into something a little more fun… like my favorite things this week! Let’s get into it! Continue reading →
I’m not gonna lie, that is pretty much going to be me today. It’s hard work to act busy all day on a Friday until it’s finally time to go home! To say that I’m ready for the weekend would be an understatement! I FINALLY got the important phone call I was waiting for so I’ve been pretty much in party-jump-up-and-down-and-do-a-happy-dance mode since yesterday morning! I can’t wait to talk more about it, but I need to cross the “T’s” and dot the “I’s” first! Needless to say, I have a big weekend of 5k’s, family & friend time and planning ahead of me, so I can’t wait to get this weekend started!
Man, this week has flown by! Sheeh! I’m excited for the weekend because to say that this week has been crazy stressful would be the understatement of the century. But enough about that and on to the fun stuff!
This week, I’m linking up with Courtney from Eat Pray Run DC, Mar from Mar On The Run and Cynthia from You Signed Up For What? for my very first time participating in the Friday Five Link Up! This weeks’ topic is “5 Races to Run in 2015”, but being the rebel student that I am, I’m already breaking the rules and putting my own twist on the topic. I decided to go with “5 Races On My Bucket List” instead, because I don’t know how many actual races I’ll be running this year because of my accident. So let’s get into my race bucket list!
I don’t know about you, but I’m SO happy it’s Friday and that this weekend will be a long one because of President’s Day. I’m a firm believer in the 4 day work week, 3 day weekend situation. I just feel so much more refreshed after a three day weekend. The extra day gives me enough time to relax, while still completing everything I need/want to get done. That’s a win win in my book.
This week has proven to be quite an eventful week. Between the 6 doctors’ appointments I’ve had because of my car accident, work, spin and yoga classes and advanced movie screenings, I’m definitely managed to stay busy! I’ve also been a little stressed out waiting for a VERY important phone call that can’t seem to come soon enough, but more on that later. I don’t have any huge plans for things I want to accomplish this weekend, but I do have some new recipes in my head that I want to try out to share with you next week. I’m actually really excited about one of the recipes in particular, so keep your eyes peeled for some tasty things coming your way next week!
