I realized something today after running my first 10k in FOREVER. Running allows me to be kinder to myself and more accepting of the things I would like to change.
I’ve talked a little bit about this race in my posts this week, so I’m excited to finally talk more about this with all of you. The United Relay of America is unlike any race I’ve ever heard of before. It’s a triple-route coast-to-coast non stop running relay. For the first time in history, three unbroken chains of runners will relay nearly 12,000 miles across the United States.
This week has been a lot of fun but also really odd. Let me explain…
I’ve done a ton of fun things like meet up with Jenica for an impromptu dinner, ran my first 5k in FOREVER with some Sweat Pink friends (more on this later) and had some going away parties and happy hours with work friends. It’s all been a little surreal though since the going away parties and happy hours have been for me. I know shocker…
Today I want to talk to you guys about losing your mojo and how to gain it back. It’s something I personally have experience with, so in the spirit of being open and honest here, I wanted to share my thoughts and experience.
I know I’m coming to you with this post a little (okay a lot) later than usual, but I couldn’t find a quote or words of wisdom that I wanted to share this week yet, so I put it off until I was able to think of something that struck me. Continue reading
‘Tis the season of all things pink and covered in hearts! I came across some crazy adorable things that I thought would make great Valentine’s Day gifts, so I thought I’d throw together a little gift guide for you. I think these would be perfect to give your friend, girlfriend, sister, wife or someone else you might need to pick up a gift for this year, so hopefully this list gives you some ideas and takes the guess work out of shopping for you! Enjoy! Continue reading
Hello and welcome to Monday!
I guess technically it’s a little late to welcome you to Monday, since it’s currently 8pm Pacific Time, but you get my drift.
I don’t know about you, but Mondays are not my favorite day of the week. They mark the end of the freedom of the weekend and getting back to the grind at work. Blah.
That being said, I’m trying to put a positive spin on Mondays instead. I’ve been trying to focus on things that make me happy in life and incorporating them into my life on a more regular basis. So I thought why not invent “Things That Make Me Happy Monday” and share the happiness with all of you! 🙂
I participated in my 4th Color Run over the weekend in Tacoma, WA and I have to say there is just something so addicting about running in a tutu and getting completely covered in colored powder! For those of you who aren’t familiar with The Color Run, it is a for profit run that donates a portion of their proceeds to a charitable organization (Ours donated to The Ronald McDonald House).
