Amazing Grass Raspberry Banana Smoothie Recipe + Giveaway!

Disclaimer: I received free product to review from Amazing Grass through a campaign with Sweat Pink. Amazing Grass is also providing the prize for this giveaway. As always, all opinions are my own.

Hello Everyone!

I want to talk to you a little bit about my normal daily routine during the week. I know some people are morning people and love to get up early to start their day with a quiet breakfast and a cup of coffee, however, I am not one of those people. I wait until the absolute last minute to get out of bed and am almost always running late which means I don’t have time to sit down for a relaxing breakfast before taking on the day.

Even though I’m not able to have a sit down breakfast during the work week, I still want to make sure I’m starting my day off on the right foot so I’m not mindlessly snacking on junk until lunch time rolls around. I’ve tried all kinds of grab and go breakfasts, but the one that has seemed to stick around is a morning smoothie. I’ve been in the habit of making smoothies for breakfast during the work week for as long as I can remember. I love how many possibilities there are with different flavor combinations and I can customize them to incorporate whatever fruits are in season or mix it up by throwing in a savory chocolate peanut butter smoothie every now and then too.

For awhile, I was just adding normal protein powder as a base for my smoothies, but when I found myself getting hungry before lunch time, I realized I needed to add something with a little more substance to it. Ever since then, I started researching and trying different all-in-one nutritional powders to give my smoothies a little more ummph. I had a really hard time finding one that tasted good, was gluten and dairy free and was cost effective (some of the options out there can equal out to almost $5 a serving, not including the cost of any fruit, milk, etc added to make the smoothie).

I was beyond excited when Amazing Grass sent me a vanilla version of their Protein Superfood to blend up with my favorite fruit combinations, but I was also a little nervous. I haven’t had a ton of luck with vanilla protein powders up until now, so I was mostly sticking to chocolate banana peanut butter smoothies, since chocolate tends to be a favor that tastes better in the powders I’ve tried so far. I’ve tried some vanilla versions that I simply had to dump out the smoothie after I made it because I couldn’t get over the weird flavor of the vanilla powder, but thankfully I didn’t have that issue with the Amazing Grass vanilla Protein Superfood! YAY!

I’ve been having a blast mixing up different flavors for my morning smoothies and wanted to share my current favorite combination with you! Since I take a dump and blend approach to my smoothie making, I’m just going to list the ingredients so you can play around with the measurements for the size of smoothie that you want to enjoy!

  1. My go to breakfast is usually some baked sweet potato bites (like home fries style), with an egg and some veggies if I have time! If no time, I throw some protein in the blender with fruit and almond milk and pray it doesn’t taste bad! Ha ha.I’ve tried one amazing grass product before and loved it and this one sounds even better!
