Fall Workout Playlist + Workout Check-In

Hello Everyone!

Have you been having a good week so far? I’ve been feeling a little out of it lately and that was very evident in spin class yesterday. I usually like to show up to class about 20 minutes early so I can zone out and do my own thing for awhile before class starts and yesterday was no different. (That’s why the photo of me is super dark because they don’t turn the lights on in the classroom until about 10 minutes before class starts.) Once my solo 20 minutes were over and class started, time seemed to drag on forever. I was tired, not in the mood to be there, couldn’t wait for it to be over and the music selection for the class was all wrong, in my opinion. I know you all know by now how important I think music is in motivating us and getting us pumped up for a good workout!

I think part of my funk had to do with the fact that I had just received an email saying that the AFAA spin instructor training class I had been waiting planning on attending for three months was cancelled just 4 days before the event! WHAT?!!? I was beyond shocked and at a complete loss on how to proceed since this was the only class AFAA had scheduled in my area for the foreseeable future and the closest one to me isn’t until February in California! WHAT?!?! Now I’m stuck with trying to get a refund and finding another creditable organization with a training date coming up soon in my area. I know that sounds like a relatively easy task, but it’s actually not. I spent hours and hours researching and talking to other instructors before I decided on the AFAA G.E.A.R. Indoor Cycling training class, so now I feel like I’m starting from scratch… again. Great.

Anyways, enough about my rant and on to this lovely playlist I created for all of you so you can hopefully avoid slipping into a workout funk due to bad music choices! All of these songs are currently available on Spotify (which is my music service of choice). I was beyond excited to see that “Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift was finally available, because it wasn’t the last time I checked. SCORE!
