HAPPY FRIDAY!
Yup… this is happening today. Looks like my schedule is all clear now to spend some time catching up with you lovely people! Good thing too, because I have some favorites I’ve been wanting to tell you about all week! Let’s get into it!
1. Yoga with Adriene
I’ve been doing a lot of yoga lately and I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this video from Yoga with Adriene. I was feeling a little spastic the other day, so I rolled out my mat and did this video. I felt completely refocused and on point afterwards! Talk about a quick fix! After I fell in love with this video, I checked out some of her others and love how she has a good variety of videos for all levels so there is something for everyone. She’s also doing her take on the 30 Day Yoga Challenge by posting a new video each day for the month of January so there’s sure to be a video you will fall in love with this month too!
2. This picture of Bella.
Okay… can we talk about how adorbs my puppy is for a second? She was visiting with my dad the other day and he spoils her with lots of belly rubs. She was really getting into it and was laying on her back, paws up in the air and her head hanging completely off of my dad’s lap just looking around. What a silly dog!
3. These crop workout pants.
I may or may not be completely obsessed with printed workout bottoms right now. I was at the mall last weekend looking for some Seahawks leggings to go with my jersey for game day and came home with these little gems instead (they were sold out of the Seahawks ones). They are a version of my all time favorite Zella Live-In Capris, but they have multi-colored dots on them that kind of make them look like fun confetti pants!
4. Themed 5k’s & Medals
Okay so I know some people don’t think that you should receive a medal for a race any shorter than a half marathon, but I’m never going to turn my nose up at a medal for doing any sort of race because I have an unhealthy obsession with collecting race bling anywhere I can. That’s why I was so excited to see that The Color Run this year added a race medal to some of their entries.
I also found out that there will be a FroYo 5k in Seattle this August! I’ve already cleared my schedule because I NEED this shirt in my life!
And if the shirts aren’t awesome enough, they are giving out finishers medals too! Score!
5. Watermelon Nuun
I’ve been drinking this ish like it’s going out of style lately! Thankfully, it’s getting closer to the Spring/Summer season when it’s available again because I only have one tube left! I’m definitely going to have to stock up this year so I don’t run out! (Make sure you enter my giveaway HERE!)
Questions of the Day:
What have you been loving this week?
Do you think 5k’s should give out finishers medals?
Seriously though, how awesome is that “Will Run For Froyo” shirt?

I am drinking Tropical Nuun right now before i head to the gym and I love it! I think I’m channeling warmer weather. I really don’t care if a finishers medal is offered or not. I think bling is fun!

Oh my god. A froyo 5k sounds like the best race ever. I definitely don’t mind medals for short races, but I always wonder what to do with them afterwards.

Right?!? I HAVE to do that 5k.
I just hang my medals up on a rack but some people get creative and use them for Christmas tree decorations and stuff.

Loving that froyo shirt. I also love one from the restaurant Sweet Green that says, “Beets don’t kale my vibes” as a take on the Kendrick Lamar song 🙂

No medal for under half marathon! That’s a silly rule. I love that they added a medal to the colour run. More bling=more fun!
I LOVE NUUN and totally hadn’t entered your giveaway yet…on my way now.

I completely agree! I love running and would do it without a medal being offered, but it’s always fun to get a little present at the end!
Thanks for heading over to enter my giveaway! 🙂

Love love love yoga with adinne. There are a few other yoga classes on youtube that I adore, but lately I’ve been doing a free trial on yogaglo and that’s pretty good too. I’m too lazy to go to a studio and practice, so I LOVE being able to do it at home.

It is really nice to be able to practice on your own time schedule. I’ll have to check out Yogaglo! I’m not familiar with it, but it sounds awesome! Thanks for stopping by!

Love your puppy! And YES! Every race deserves a metal. For a lot of people, a 5k is a BIG deal, and they should be rewarded for it 🙂 Thanks for linking up!

That’s very true. It’s hard to understand sometimes how a 5k is a big deal for some people when you’re used to running a lot and take it for granted but even running a 5k isn’t easy and takes work. Thanks so much for hosting! 🙂

I didn’t have any medals until this year, and once I got my first one, I was hooked. I don’t care what people say, the distance doesn’t matter, finishing does. The medals show that you’ve got something inside you that lets you stick with what you start.
The hardest thing I have to deal with, though, is convincing non-runners the difference in finisher’s medals and participants medals and why finishing is so important to us.

That’s very true! It really doesn’t matter the distance, you still go through so many emotions getting to the finish line that they are all meaningful.

I would love for ALL races to offer medals as an option. That way anyone who wants to pay a little more for some bling can 🙂

Where can you look for hawks leggings? I could seriously use some to go with my jersey too! Bala yoga in Kirkland had awesome ones last year but didn’t have my size! Those things went fast! Woot, go hawks!
Oh and that fro yo shirt IS awesome, need to look into this race!

They sold the Hawks leggings at Nordstrom for a little while but they couldn’t keep them in stock so they haven’t had them for awhile. I know that they sell some in Etsy though too. Did you watch the game today?!?! WOAH!
And YES, you need to look into it! It sounds like so much fun! Have a great weekend!
