I hope you had a happy Valentine’s Day and a wonderful weekend. For those of you that are lucky enough to have Presidents’ Day off, you’re still in full-fledged glorious weekend mode (like me)! I started out with really big plans for my weekend and all that I wanted to accomplish and ended up accomplishing only about 30% of what I set out to accomplish. *sighs* Isn’t that the way weekends go though? They always start full of such anticipation and then reality (and sleep deprivation) starts to kick in and bring you back down to Earth? Maybe it’s just me…
Disclaimer: I received product from Nuun Hydration for my participation in this taste test. Nuun also provided the product for this giveaway. I received no other compensation. As always all opinions are my own.
Last week I got an exciting invitation to Nuun Hydration Headquarters in Seattle, WA. For my first task as a Nuunbassador, I participated in a blind taste test of two different versions of four existing Nuun flavors. Nuun is working on improving some of their flavors, so I tasted the current version and the new version and gave my thoughts on which version of the flavors I liked best.
I wasn’t originally planning on doing a year in review recap since I didn’t start A Couple of Dashes until August, but after reading a few by other bloggers (Lake Shore Runner, Meals and Miles and Run Eat Repeat), I decided I would be sad if I didn’t have one to look back at next year. My year was filled with some crazy highs and lows. I lost some old friends and made some new ones, let go of some dreams that could never fully make it to fruition, but also saw some dreams I never could have imagined before come true. So here’s a look back at all the shenanigans I got into in 2014! Let’s get to it!
I’m so excited that Halloween is on a Friday this year! It makes it a lot more fun to be able to have Halloween parties on Halloween! Are you guys doing anything fun for Halloween today? I’m going to the gym to get a good workout in before I head out to a friends’ party. I’m hoping that since it’s Halloween, the weight room will be less busy than usual so I can get in strength training workout #2 toward my completing my workout challenge for the week! Fingers crossed!
1. To start the celebration out right, here are some cute puppies in Halloween costumes! I can’t even begin with the amount of cuteness here! I mean Winnie the Pooh?!?!
After doing my Drink More Water Challenge for awhile, I started to get a little tired of drinking attempting to drink a gallon of plain old water everyday. Lately I’ve been searching for the perfect way to add a little flavor to my water to make it more interesting to drink, without adding a ton of extra calories or sugar to my diet. I tried fruit infused water for awhile and though it’s delicious, I’d rather eat my fruit, than just let it sit in my water for flavor. I also went through a phase where I was obsessed with liquid water enhancers, but then I started to feel a little bloated and gross from drinking them so much, so I kicked those to the curb too.
