I want to talk to you a little bit about my normal daily routine during the week. I know some people are morning people and love to get up early to start their day with a quiet breakfast and a cup of coffee, however, I am not one of those people. I wait until the absolute last minute to get out of bed and am almost always running late which means I don’t have time to sit down for a relaxing breakfast before taking on the day.

Happy Thursday Everyone!!!
Today I want to talk about a new product I recently was able to try out (SPOILER ALERT: There’s a giveaway at the end, so don’t forget to leave a comment to enter!). Since I’ve started training for my half marathon this coming August, compression gear has become a big part of recovery to help keep my body happy and able to continue to log miles every week in order to make it to race day strong and ready to kick some butt. I’ve been religious about wearing compression socks or sleeves after every single run, even if it meant sneakily hiding them under my pants at work, to make sure I was speeding up my recovery and providing extra support for my tired muscles when I needed it the most.
I hope you’re weekend is off to a great start so far! My week was absolutely insane, so I’m trying to do as much NOTHING this weekend as humanly possible! Basically binge watching NCIS before the new season starts, watching Sunday football (GO HAWKS!) and checking in with you fine people are the only things on my agenda and I’m totally okay with that.
Today I want to talk to you about how to get the most out of your fitness tracker. It seems like everyone is sporting some sort of wearable fitness tracking device these days. Whether it’s a Jawbone or a Fitbit, these technologically enhanced pedometers are everywhere it seems. Continue reading →

Since I’m always on the run, I’m constantly looking for healthy snacks to throw in my bag to stop me from having those “hangry” moments from waiting just a little too long between meals. My go-to snack is usually some sort of fruit cup situation, but since that’s not always a doable option, I have to find the next best thing.

I’m SO SO excited to share this post with you today. When I received an email a few weeks ago asking me to be a part of the virtual book tour for Lauryn Evarts’s book, The Skinny Confidential: A Babe’s Sexy, Sassy Fitness and Lifestyle Guide, I couldn’t respond “YES” fast enough. Once I stopped doing my happy dance long enough to pick my jaw up off the floor, I immediately pulled her book off my shelf (I bought it last March when it came out) and started brainstorming what part of her book I wanted to share with you here on my little corner of the blogosphere. Last week I got an exciting invitation to Nuun Hydration Headquarters in Seattle, WA. For my first task as a Nuunbassador, I participated in a blind taste test of two different versions of four existing Nuun flavors. Nuun is working on improving some of their flavors, so I tasted the current version and the new version and gave my thoughts on which version of the flavors I liked best.
Disclaimer: I received entry to the Capitol Hill Food Tour compliments of Seattle Food Tours for review. I received no other compensation for this post. As always, opinions are all my own.
Last Friday I joined a group of fellow Seattle area bloggers on a food tour of Capitol Hill, which is a neighborhood in Seattle known for it’s more alternative culture. I haven’t really spent much time in the area, so I was excited to check out some of the local hot spots with a tour guide to show me around town to explain some of the history behind the area. I was also really excited to meet some fellow bloggers and go on my first official blogger outing! How official!
