I hope you all have been having a great weekend so far and have fun plans for your bonus day off tomorrow! I have to say, I’m definitely excited to have an extra day off this week. It’s been forever since I’ve taken a day off so this is a much needed break for me. In my opinion, all weekends should be 3 days anyways. That way you get one day to bum around, one day for fun stuff and one day for chores. Am I right or am I right?!?
Not sure if anyone still checks in on my little corner of the blogosphere anymore but I wanted to check in. I know I’ve been horrible about posting recently since life has taken over, but I’ve really been focusing on work and spending as much time with friends and family as possible. I’ve also been struggling about what to post about since my activity level has taken a serious decrease after this. Continue reading →
I know I’ve been neglecting my little corner of the blogosphere for quite some time now. It’s partially due to an explosion of work craziness, but my pure denial is also to blame. I was going strong (or so I thought) on my return to running about a month or so ago. I was finally able to lace up, cross a few finish lines and score some sweet new PR’s. It was such a good feeling to get back to not only doing what I love, with people that I love, but also to get a little closer to feeling like myself again.
Every Tuesday I link up with Jessica and Jill for The Fit Dish linkup. If you haven’t heard of The Fit Dish linkup yet, it’s an awesome linkup where empowering women athletes/bloggers share their fitness tips and tricks, favorite recipes and inspiring stories with the blogosphere.
Today I want to talk to you guys about losing your mojo and how to gain it back. It’s something I personally have experience with, so in the spirit of being open and honest here, I wanted to share my thoughts and experience. Continue reading →
I just wanted to thank you all for all of your sweet comments on my post yesterday. You were all so sweet and I can’t thank you enough for all of your lovely comments and Tweets about my post.
Today, I wanted to talk to you about the flip side of my post yesterday. I felt inspired to write this post to share with you all after reading this post by my friend, Molly. I know this may seem kind of ironic after yesterday’s post on positivity, but I always want to be as transparent as possible on here. Everyone has their ups and downs when dealing with an injury and I am no different. It’s easy for me to get on here and tell you to embrace the change and be open to new experiences, which I do truly believe, but it’s not fair to only show the “everything is peachy keen” side of the story, so here’s the uglier side of things. Let’s dig into it.
I know I might be going a little overboard with the goal and resolution type posts, but I really wanted to expand on my staying happy and healthy in 2015 post by putting together a list of things that I wanted to work on in 2015 in a format that I could actually check off once they were completed. I thought it was important to get all my goals written down so I had something to work toward during the year, since it’s always easy to loose site of things as time passes. I also wanted to have something and look back on at the end of 2015 to see how far I’ve come! So here’s my list of goals for this year!
So who’s excited to start a whole new year full of promise, excitement, setting and achieving goals and having new experiences?!?! (I should tell you that I’m pointing two thumbs in my direction right now, since you can’t see me!) There’s something about starting over with a clean slate that I just love about the new year. I’m really ready to take what I’ve learned in 2014 and build on it in 2015. I have high hopes that 2015 is going to be freaking fabulous filled with some major accomplishments and fun times with loved ones.
