Happy Friday Everyone!

I’m not gonna lie, that is pretty much going to be me today. It’s hard work to act busy all day on a Friday until it’s finally time to go home! To say that I’m ready for the weekend would be an understatement! I FINALLY got the important phone call I was waiting for so I’ve been pretty much in party-jump-up-and-down-and-do-a-happy-dance mode since yesterday morning! I can’t wait to talk more about it, but I need to cross the “T’s” and dot the “I’s” first! Needless to say, I have a big weekend of 5k’s, family & friend time and planning ahead of me, so I can’t wait to get this weekend started!

Anywhoo… more on that later. Every Friday I like to share 5 things that are making me smile and this week, I wanted to share with you 5 quotes & sayings that I’ve come across lately that I really relate to. I was inspired to share some of my favorite quotes and sayings with you after I read this post from Jill (who I’m also linking up with today!) last week. Make sure you check her post out too!

  1. Congrats on the good news! One of my favorite quotes is from the movie Three Kings. George Clooney’s character says “you do the thing you’re scared of and you get the courage after, not before.” Thinking about that always helps me when I’m nervous about doing something.

  5. I’m also racing a 5k this weekend – a small local race.

    You will love the Hot Chocolate 5k! I did one in Minneapolis last year and it was a fun time. Nicely organized and the treats at the end were fantastic. Enjoy 🙂

  13. Love the quotes. Probably my favorite quote is by Jimmy Buffett.

    “I love the now.”

    It reminds me to appreciate what I have, right now, in this moment. I struggle with that, so this quote always slows me down and makes me smile.

      You’re welcome! Glad you got it! ❤ That's awesome! Well if you ever end up in the area, definitely let me know! Do residency programs go through a school or a hospital? I'm completely clueless with how this all works even though I have a ton of friends in that field of work. :/

        haha, no worries! It can be really confusing. There are some that go through schools, others that go through [teaching] hospitals, so it’s really somewhat of a free-for-all in terms of what we’re interested in getting out of a program (and of course, which ones end up wanting to accept you and all that good stuff!).

  17. I love the first quote and need to remind myself of that often! I think when I am struggling or in a difficult time in my life, my favorite quote to say over and over again is “In the end, everything is OK. If everything is not ok, it’s not the end”. I am not sure who it’s from or where I picked that up.. but I love it.
