Workout Wednesday – Sweat it Out Playlist

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are having a happy Wednesday so far! Give yourself a pat on the back for making it halfway through the work week already. Nice job!

The other day, my cousin send me a text message asking me to create a playlist for her to use during her workouts. Since I LOVE my cousin and I LOVE creating playlists, of course I said yes! It’s also been a little while since I posted a playlist of my new favorite workout songs on here, so I thought I’d share what I came up with for her with all of you, too! If you’re anything like me, you’re always searching for new songs to add to the mix, so you can really never have too many songs to choose from!

My cousin was looking for some less mainstream music to listen to, so I tried to include less popular music and more up and coming artists in this playlist. Even though she was looking for songs that were a little less familiar, I still threw in some mainstream songs that are just too catchy to leave out! I hope you enjoy it!

Questions of the Day:

What’s your current favorite workout song?

Do you prefer to workout to music, audio books or to nothing at all?

  1. I need to check out these songs! I’ve only heard of…a couple…of them. But in my defense, there’s really only two stations here that don’t play country/Christian. :O

    • hahaha! Well I do have more than 2 stations that play pop music, so I guess I am at a little bit of an advantage. I found a lot of them randomly on Spotify too. 🙂

  2. So I haven’t listened to music while running in a while since I”ve been watching movies on Netflix on the treadmill, but before I was loving Work it B*@ch by Britney Spears!

    • I LOVE that song too! It always gets me going! Sometimes I’ll listen to that one over and over again! That’s a good idea to watch movies though!

  3. I need to create a playlist now that I am back to running! I enjoyed the Serial podcast while I was walking during my surgery recovery phase. What program do you use to create your playlist? I am loving that funny song, If your lips are moving…….

    • YAY for getting back to running! I am so sad that Serial is over and can’t wait for season 2 to start. I create my playlists in Spotify and have the premium membership, which is $9.99 a month so I can listen to my playlists on my phone and have full functionality of the app.

I love that song too! Hope you have a great day!

  4. I love your playlist! Great mix of songs 🙂

I don’t listen to anything while I run/workout. Since I don’t race with music, I don’t want to let myself get too used to having it while training!

  5. I don’t think I know any of these songs, but I know a lot of the artists–I have to go check them out! I ALWAYS have to listen to something when I work out, music, audio book, podcast, it really just depends on the kind of run or workout I am doing. I am amazed at people who don’t listen to anything!

  6. I love finding new music to workout to. I listen to Spotify and Pandora and often miss out on learning about newer music. Can’t wait to check these out!

  7. My new favorite song is Sugar from Maroon 5. LOVE that song and I find myself dancing in the car while driving when it comes on. 🙂

  8. Thanks. There’s only two (I think) that I didn’t download to iTunes. These songs are great because they are completely new to me and because they are not necessarily songs I would normally pick for my every day use. This is good because then I won’t get tired of them so quickly. Thanks for finding these for me! Love you sweet cousin!
