5 Things Friday – My favorite beauty tip, Taylor Swift & More!

Happy Friday!

I hope you have all had a great week so far and have plans for an even better weekend! I’m looking forward to a Seahawks playoff party this Saturday with some of my favorite people. GO HAWKS! I’m trying to come up with a fun treat to make to bring along. Any ideas?!?! I’m thinking this slow cooker chipotle party mix might be a good option!

Now on to my 5 favorite things this week! Let’s get into it!

1. This quote

Seeing this quote this week could not have come at a more perfect time for me.

2. Lush Dream Steam Toner Tabs

These little tabs are AMAZING to use before a face mask! Here’s how I like to use them:

1. I boil a small pan full of water
2. Transfer hot water into a bowl
3. Break toner tab in half and place in bowl
4. Put your face over the bowl and then drape a towel over your head to help trap the steam in
5. Let the steam open your pores for 10-15 minutes and immediately follow with the face mask of your choice!

Using a toner tab before I use a face mask makes all the difference in the world! I’ve gotten to the point that I don’t even bother using a face mask if I don’t have a toner tab to use before hand because I think I see more benefits when I combine the two!

3. Naked and Afraid

I know I’ve talked about my weird love for this show on here before but I’ve become even more obsessed with it lately! I purchased Season 3 to watch when I was stuck at home after my accident and literally binge watched 8 episodes in a row! It’s just that good!

4. Malaga Wine by OPI

This is my current favorite nail polish color! I was never a huge fan of red nail polish until the last couple of years. Another one of my favorites is Bahama Mama by Essie!

5. “Blank Space/Style” (Taylor Swift Mash-up) by Louisa Wendorff

 

It’s no secret that I love all things Taylor Swift, so when I came across this video, I was instantly obsessed! I am so impressed that they can manage to sing two different songs so beautifully at the same time without messing up! Now that’s talent!
