Make Me Happy Monday – Seahawks Victory, Family Baking Time & A Taylor Swift Cover

Hey Girl Hey!

I hope you had a great weekend and that you were able to rest and recharge, at least a little bit. I know I was exhausted at the end of last week, so I needed a couple of days to recuperate so I could start to feel like a human again! Mission accomplished!

Did you get the chance to catch the awesome Seahawks vs. Cardinals game yesterday? We REALLY needed this win, so I’m glad we were able to show the Cardinals how the professionals play in Seattle!

I know you ladies didn’t come here to talk football, so here are some things that are making me happy this Monday!

It’s no secret that I am beyond obsessed with Taylor Swift and her new song “Blank Space” so when I came across this acoustic cover of the song by Tyler Ward (thanks to Heather at Housewife Glamour), I immediately listened to it on repeat at my desk and added it to my Spotify playlist! I’m all for produced music, but there’s just something about acoustic music that I can’t get enough of.

 

I’m also really loving this song by Maddie & Tae that pokes fun of guys portrayal of girls in country music. So CUTE!

 

I’m also really loving the holiday season this year. ‘Tis the season of holiday baking!

We tried out a new holiday recipe I created to share with all of you over the weekend (recipe coming soon!). They turned out delicious, if I do say so myself!

We also made an old family favorite, cake mix cookies. (I’ll have the recipe for these up soon for you also!)

Red cups from Starbucks makes my soy hot chocolates taste so much more festive and fun!

Since smoothies and spin are two of my favorite things, I knew I needed to check out these bike blenders at the race yesterday. The nice lady that was in charge of the booth even let Katie and I race each other to see who could blend their smoothie the fastest! I didn’t have high hopes for the flavor of them though, since they were free and I assumed it was more of a gimmick than anything, but the they were delicious! SCORE!

I’m also loving apples the size of my hand lately! Check out these HUGE apples I scored at Costco! Huge apples seem all the rage in the blogosphere lately, so I had to share my huge apple pic to be one of the cool kids! :p
