Hello!
I’m sure a lot of you are going to Halloween parties this weekend and if you’re anything like me, you’re probably looking for something at least a little healthy (but not so healthy that no one wants to eat it either!) to take to the party so that there’s something that won’t entirely send you into a sugar coma there to snack on. These apple nachos are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth without making you feel insanely guilty from eating them either. I think these would even make a really cool snack bar at a party. You could put out a bunch of different toppings and guests could make their own nachos! How much fun would that be?!!?
So now lets talk about how easy these are to make.
All you need to do is cut up your favorite apples into slices.
Arrange them on a plate or platter and drizzle them with warm white chocolate.
Then drizzle them with warm caramel sauce. We used caramel candies on ours that I melted in a pan on the stove to eliminate high fructose corn syrup from our treat since most caramel ice cream toppings contain high fructose corn syrup. YUCK!
We chose to use mini chocolate chips and Heath toffee bits, like the recipe from Lil’ Luna called for, but you can use any kind of toppings that you prefer. I would probably forgo the Heath toffee bits the next time around and use something else instead. Shredded coconut, mini M&M’s, nuts, Reese’s peanut butter crumbles and sprinkles would all be good topping options!
Sprinkle the mini chocolate chips…
and Heath toffee bits on your apple slices and you’re ready to enjoy your apple nachos!
I love that these are easier to make (and eat) than a regular caramel apple. Since I will only eat apple slices anyways, due to a fear instilled in me at a young age about breaking off one on my braces brackets (and no, I don’t still have braces, so this is an irrational fear at this point), this is the perfect caramel apple for me!

I actually just made a tiny plate of these for a nighttime snack the other evening. Instead of drizzling them with chocolate, I used warm cinnamon bun coconut butter. Equally as delicious!
